Privacy Policy

Hoss Digital LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Playlytix mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account or use the App, we may collect:

  • Email address (used for authentication)
  • Display name
  • Team names, rosters, and player information you enter
  • Player photos and profile photos you choose to upload
  • Game data, statistics, and scoring records you create
  • Scheduling information (events, practices, games)

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically through Firebase (a Google service) including:

  • Device type, operating system, and version
  • App usage patterns and crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Authentication events (sign-in, sign-out)
  • Timestamps associated with data writes

Purchase Information

If you purchase a Season Pass, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) — we never see or store your payment card details. We receive purchase receipts and subscription status through RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider, so we can unlock paid features for your team.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App
  • Create and manage your account
  • Store and sync your team, player, and game data across devices
  • Enable role-based features (coach, manager, parent, player, viewer access)
  • Process Season Pass purchases and manage team entitlements
  • Send transactional communications (invitation emails, account confirmations)
  • Diagnose technical problems and improve app stability
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Firebase

Playlytix uses Firebase, a platform operated by Google LLC, for authentication (Firebase Auth), data storage (Cloud Firestore), and photo storage (Cloud Storage for Firebase). Your data is stored on Firebase servers and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Firebase servers are located primarily in the United States.

If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

4. User-Generated Content

The App allows you to create and manage team rosters, player profiles, and game statistics. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the content you input. Player information you enter (such as names, jersey numbers, and photos) is stored under your account and shared with other team members based on the roles and permissions you configure.

We recommend that you do not enter sensitive personal information (such as full birthdates, addresses, or financial data) for players beyond what is necessary for team management purposes.

5. Children's Privacy and Minors' Data

Playlytix is built for coaches, team staff, and families of youth athletes, so the App routinely contains information about minors. We treat that information with particular care.

Roster Information About Minors

Coaches and parents or guardians may enter information about minor athletes, including names, jersey numbers, positions, game statistics, and photos. This information is provided by authorized adults — coaches, team staff, or a player's own parent or guardian — not collected from children directly. It is visible only to members of that team according to the role-based permissions the coach configures. Individual player information is never made public.

Player Photos

Player photos are optional and can be uploaded only by coaches or a player's linked parent or guardian. Photos are stored in Cloud Storage for Firebase, are visible only to team members, and can be removed at any time by the coach or the linked parent or guardian. Coaches should obtain a parent or guardian's permission before adding a photo of a minor.

Accounts Held by Minors

A minor may hold a linked player account only through an invitation created by their coach or their parent or guardian. Accounts for users under 18 require a linked parent or guardian, who can review the minor's information and unlink or revoke the account's access at any time. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts without parental involvement through the invitation system described above.

Removal Requests

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information appears in the App without your consent, or you want any information about your child removed, contact us at support@playlytix.app and we will promptly remove it.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) as our infrastructure provider and RevenueCat to manage Season Pass purchases. Both process data on our behalf pursuant to their data processing terms.
  • Team Members: Data you add to a team (rosters, stats, schedules) is visible to other members of that team based on their assigned role.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal processes.
  • Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or prominent notice in the App.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and team data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal account data within 30 days. Team data (rosters, stats, game records) may be retained for a period of time if other team members with access have not also requested deletion.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including Firebase's built-in security features, Firestore security rules that restrict data access by role, and encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through the App settings or by contacting us.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
